--Continues where The One Where Ross Tries Again, Part II left off--
[Scene: Monica and Rachel's apartment. Phoebe and Joey are watching TV, Monica is cooking in the kitchen and Rachel is
on the balcony. Ross enters.]
Ross: Hey.
Monica: Hey! Ross, how was your date?
*Ross shoots Monica a glance*
Ross: Oh, it was great. Had so much fun, yeah, you should meet my imaginary girlfriend some time. (Pause)
Where is Rachel?
Monica: She's outside, but I think she's really mad or upset or something.
Ross: Why?
Monica: She didn't watch Odd Parents tonight.
(Ross ignores Monica, giving her a look, and steps out to the balcony)
Phoebe: (To Joey) You know, I have an imaginary boyfriend. (Chuckles)
[Cut out to the balcony.]
Ross: Hey.
Rachel: Hey!
Ross: What's the matter?
Rachel: Nothing.
Ross: Come on, you missed the Odd Parents, you're standing outside in the middle of a cold
night on a balcony with your pyjamas on...something's going on.
Rachel: Ohhh. (Chuckles) I didn't even know I'm with my pyjamas on. Aaww. (Pause) Well, uh, technically,
I had a horrible date.
Ross: Hey, at least it was better than mine. I spent the night looking for my date.
Rachel: (Chuckles) If it makes you feel any better, I wished I didn't even go out with my date.
Ross: That bad?
Rachel: He had to go to the bathrooms every two minutes to check if they cleaned them yet.
Ross: Wow, that is kinda weird.
(They laugh.)
[Cut to the living room.]
Phoebe: (to Joey) His name is Roger.
Joey: Uh-huh.
Phoebe: He is an engineer man.
Joey: Wow.
Monica: Who are you guys talking about?
Joey: Oh, Phoebe's imaginary boyfriend.
Monica: (finding it weird, though smiles) Oh, okay!
[Cut back out to the balcony.]
Ross: So, is there anyone you have feelings for?
Rachel: Nah, I'm not too much with the having-feelings-for-someone kinda thing. I mean, when I just
meet someone and fall in love, I just usually tell him! You know what I mean? I don't really like that "waiting-for-the-right-time"
excuse kind of thing, you know? If you have feelings for someone, just tell them!
Ross: I love you.
(Long Silence)
Rachel: What?!
Ross: (coughes) I, uh, I have feelings for you, sexual feelings.
(Pause)
Rachel: Wh...how...where..how long?
Ross: Does it really matter?
(Long Silence)
Rachel: No, I was just asking...because, uh, (chuckles) well...
(Ross kisses her.)
Rachel: Wow, uhm, that was, uhm, that was kinda spongey!
Ross: What?
(Rachel kisses him.)
--Closing Credits--
[Scene: Joey and Chandler's apartment. Joey is there as Chandler enters.]
Chandler: Hey, man.
Joey: Hey, which is better, Bob or Ricky?
Chandler: For what?
Joey: You know, as a name.
Chandler: Uhm, Bob, I guess. But why?
Joey: (Smiles) I'm naming my new imaginary friend.
End.
