Hospital waiting room. Everybody is present (except Chandler, for reasons stated in TOW After They Kissed)

Monica: I can't believe this is happening.

Rachel: I know. It's hard to believe that Chandler is in this awful place

Monica: You really never appreciate what you have, until it's gone.

Joey: I know exactly what you're talking about, Mon.

Phoebe: Wow, Joey! I didn't know you were capable of understanding something profound and deep

Ross: Hey, give him a little credit.

Joey: Like the other day, I went to the sandwich shop and got this huge meatball sub. I had to go to the restroom and when I came back it was gone! I never even got to taste it!

Everybody giving Joey weird looks

Joey: Why, God, Why!

Opening Credits

Still in the hospital waiting room

Phoebe kills time by playing Smelly Cat

Janice rushes into the hospital

Janice: What happened? Where's my Bing-a-Ling?

Ross: The doctor's with him now.

Joey: Do you believe in Heaven?

Phoebe: Of course I do

Joey: What its like I wonder?

Phoebe: I like to think Heaven is where you can have your own version of paradise

Ross: That's so beautiful.

Joey: A bottle of beer in one hand and Carmen Electra in the other. There's my paradise. I wonder what Hell is like?

Monica: You've obviously never been to one of Ross' lectures.

Ross chuckles

Monica: Well Chandler's not here. Somebody has to pick up the slack.

The doctor emerges and everybody rushes around him, wanting to know if Chandler was OK

Doctor: He's banged up, but otherwise in good spirits. We have him on some pain killers, so he's sleeping right now.

Monica: So he's OK?

Doctor: He should be fine.

Ross: Can we see him now?

Doctor: I'm afraid visiting hour is over. We'll call you if his condition changes.

The doctor leaves

Ross: What about Fun Bobby?

Monica: At this point, I don't really care.

Rachel: Fair enough.

Joey: There's nothing more that we can do now. It's late and we're all exhausted. I say we go home, get some sleep and come back in the morning.

Phoebe: Good idea.

Monica: Hey guys, I'm going to stay.

Rachel: Me too

Monica: No, please go. I'll call if anything happens

Rachel: You don't need to be alone, right now.

Monica; I'll be OK

Rachel: Are you sure?

Monica; I'm fine

Rachel and Monica hug and Joey smiles in approval

Joey: My My My!

Ross: Dude that's my sister!

Joey winks at Rachel

Ross: Dude! That's my girlfriend!

Everybody except for Monica leaves

Janice enters the lobby

Janice: Where'd everybody else, go?

Monica: They went home.....Look Janice, we have to talk

Janice sits down

Monica; Ok. I'm just going to come out and say it......

Monica looks for the words, but cannot bring herself to say it out loud

Janice: You love Chandler, don't you?

Monica:.......ye......yes. Yes I do.

Janice: He loves you too.

Monica: He does?

Janice: Oh sure he does. He just lights up when you're in the room.

Pause

Janice: You better take good care of him, Monica Geller.

Monica (tearing up): Thank you Janice. I will

Monica sneaks in to Chandler's room. Chandler is hooked up to machines and is sleeping

Monica: Look at you, poor baby. I never allowed myself to feel the way I do until recently. And I thought I had lost you forever. I'm going to say this, before I lose my nerve again...... Chandler I love you. I've always loved you and can't imagine myself ever loving another.

Monica sighs

Monica: I wish I knew if you heard that or not.

Chandler gently squeezes her her hand

Chandler (slowly waking up): I did.

Monica gently embraces Chandler

Commercial

Central Perk. Everybody but Chandler and Monica are present

Ross: It's been quite a week

Rachel: That's an understatement

Phoebe: It was so amazing for Janice to bow out peacefully

Joey: I wonder if I will ever get together with a nice woman?

Phoebe: Don't worry....we will.

Joey: Really?

Phoebe: Oh yea. Right after I marry Ross and have him killed for the inheritance.

Ross: WHAT?

Phoebe: Oh be serious Ross. You didn't think I was marrying you for the looks, did you?

Monica enters the Coffee House and Chandler hobbles behind her, on crutches

Ross: Hey, Chandler. Phoebe was going to have me killed for the inheritance!

Chandler: Back in collage, I would have done it for free.

Ross throws a bagel at Chandler
